In addition to her Bachelor’s degree, certifications, and lived experience, Heidi has completed extensive training in strengths-based, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally competent practices. She has worked as a Peer and Parent Peer Specialist in CCS (Comprehensive Community Services) providing support to individuals with mental health and substance abuse challenges. Heidi is active as a consultant and advocate on many committees, workgroups, and advisory panels at the city, county, state, and national level. She has also established a personal wellness plan that eliminated her migraines, healed her intestinal permeability, allowed her to discontinue thyroid medications, and improved her mood. Heidi believes in walking the walk!

Heidi has a passion for helping others and improving systems. She hopes to make a difference by assisting others with recognizing their strengths, building support networks, connecting to their communities and resources, and becoming empowered. During her free time, Heidi enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and continual learning, puzzles, traveling, biking, walking, kayaking, tennis, disc golfing, gardening, and volunteering.
